About Me

I'm Smita Patel. I'm currently full time mom for my two kids. By profession, I am an engineer and was working full time job but stopped working so I can give ample time to my kids.

My love for cooking started after I had kids as I would be always searching for new ways to make them eat perfect meals. Making them eat the same food made it boring for. So I started searching and experimenting with different recipes. And my kids are loving it ( and even my husband :) )

MyEveningCooking is all about vegetarian (and healthy) food from my everyday cooking with Gujarati flavors. I started this blog to keep on documenting my various recipes. I try to put step by step details to remove out the guessing work :) Also I put different notes to help you create new variations. By this blog, I want to learn from you and your tricks as well. So please comment with your variations and ideas.

Traditional Gujarati dishes like khandavi, thepala, dhebara, muthiya, khaman, handavo, are so famous; so be sure that you find all them here.
